Blog 4: Interaction


Prompt 1:

The videos show the background of the Nanjing massacre where it shows what Japanese army did throughout and how war takes over thousands of people’s lives and impacts future generation. By doing this, we can give students a basic understanding of the massacre and analyze how it impacts Chinese people from different angle. Students will respond to their interaction by writing a reflection that analyzes Nanjing massacre with at least 200 words.

Prompt 2:

The students will be responding to the videos by writing a minimum of 200 words self reflection which describes what students have seen from the videos and students will analyze how Nanjing massacre shapes human history and future Chinese generation.

Prompt 3:

We suggest students to write a self reflection on Nanjing massacre by analyzing its influence to Chinese people and its future generation. It is used to evaluate how well students understand the material from the videos. By writing the reflection, students can develop their critical thinking skills and writing skills which will help students express their opinions accurately. The technology that students would use to do the activity is Google classroom. The Google classroom is an interactive and shareable platform that is used for students to communicate with their fellow classmates and teachers.

Prompt 7:

I will address any potential barriers by providing subtitles in the videos for those who prefer reading off the material or have hearing problems. This is to help them absorb the same amount of material as other people. In addition, we also include online learning environment for people who want to learn the material based on their personal speed. In addition, for those who are sick or need to self-isolate, taking the course online is a great option because it increases your flexibility to manage your schedule.
